MY LOCALITE TOUR GUIDE SERVICES

Outdoor

What does one do with free days to tour Manila? Especially if most of your Philippine vacation is spent out in the beaches and only have a day or two to see the capital in between flights… or if you’re here on business but still have some spare time to see the city…

This is when a Travel Host & Local Tour Guide comes in handy—someone to help efficiently plan your holiday by maximizing your stay here. Someone who can conveniently make all the arrangements from the ground: like airport transfers, hotel or restaurant reservations plus, recommend where to shop & what to do. Interesting tour packages can be created specifically for your party, depending on your points of interest and how much time you’ll have-- fixing your schedule, while attending to your requirements and providing you with the necessary information needed to see the Philippines.

MY LOCALITE can provide all these personalized services for you…Do you want to visit historical sights and buy indigenous handicrafts? Or are you a WW2 Buff who would like to see war monuments? Do you prefer something more “artsy” instead, looking to check out museums & the local art scene? Or would you rather be by nature, enjoying gastronomic delights? Whether you just have an afternoon, the entire day, or the whole weekend, we can prepare something suitable for your group’s needs. And since we come up with bespoke tour packages, the planned itinerary is flexible to adjust to your desired pace & level of comfort.

ROB, together with his Filipina wife and in laws from California, wanted to take a half-day tour of Intramuros last May. Despite numerous visits here, they had never immersed themselves in this historic part of town before so, MY LOCALITE prepared a customized tour for his family. Since they had their own transportation, MY LOCALITE’s Travel Host & Tour Guides met them in Fort Santiago, where Restoration Architect Mico Manalo started his in-depth explanation on Philippine art & history. All afternoon, the group leisurely walked around selected spots of the Walled City, carefully taking into consideration Rob’s 85 yo mother-in-law, who was able to keep up with every activity (despite the scorching sun!). To cap things off, the group had sunset cocktails while enjoying a breathtaking 360-degree view of the entire city. Being a retired Navy Officer & an avid student of history, Rob definitely enjoyed himself as he: “had a great time and learned a lot with My Localite. Looking forward to next time…”

DAVE from Canada, was in town last September for a finance conference. As a first timer here, he only had one free day to see the city before his convention began so, MY LOCALITE came up with a personalized tour package that gave him a glimpse of Old Manila & Modern Manila. We picked him up in his hotel in a comfortable van containing a cooler with cold water to sustain him throughout the day. We spent the morning going back in time, touring the most historic parts of the city. For lunch, we enjoyed fresh seafood & sea air by Manila Bay, while discussing the country’s current political & economic situation. Then, we drove through Makati’s business district and posh neighborhoods, proceeding to the American Cemetery in Fort Bonifacio. Since he is a WW2 enthusiast, he excitingly went thru every detail of this war memorial which contains the largest number of graves of the military dead. Last but not the least, we went around Bonifacio Global City, to see the fastest growing area of town. Dave also wanted to sample some Filipino beer so, we continued our engaging conversation over local craft beer-- which served as a prelude to his upcoming Boracay holiday. Meanwhile, Dave thought that his insightful overview of this city was: “Awesome! I enjoyed my time touring Manila & am glad I went. My Localite took me to all the places I wanted to go to and knew all the historical facts”.

YANG and his parents flew in from Malaysia for a 5-day holiday in early November. MY LOCALITE welcomed them in the airport on a Saturday afternoon, and dropped them off by Wednesday morning. In between, they had three whole days to explore Manila and beyond. Yang usually comes for business but only gets to see his hotel & office, while the last time his parents visited Manila was in the 1970’s. So, MY LOCALITE prepared an itinerary that was perfectly suited to their needs. They got to sample local delicacies, try Filipino food, and eat in Binondo (the world’s oldest Chinatown). Other than visiting the city’s historical sights, they saw some modern Filipino Art in the mountains of Antipolo. Plus, since time permitted, they requested to go to the Chinese Cemetery in Quezon City (where they went 40 years ago) so that their son could see the mausoleums here. They were also able to buy souvenirs and check out the famous shopping spots of Greenhills & Mall of Asia (as MY LOCALITE arranged for them to conveniently go around MOA in a Golf Cart!). A side-trip to Tagaytay was also done to enjoy the spectacular volcano view & cool weather from a cozy café. Meanwhile, they were also given a list of various restaurants options to dine in at night. After a vacation well-spent, this Chinese family got to experience true Filipino hospitality: “Thanks so much for the time and the effort! We really appreciate the planning and thoughtfulness of My Localite.”

There’s nothing like having your own personal Tour Guide & Local Host to help plan your trip to the Philippines—to make the most out of your visit, take you to the right places, and give the proper recommendations. For a fun-filled holiday, leave it to the locals-- let MY LOCALITE show you the way!
